Agentic
Engineering

Build, coordinate
and verify agentic systems.

Twenty-four scholarly foundation chapters and thirty-two project-grounded lessons across seven applied stages, from information diagnosis and document workflows to durable agents, verification and governed organizational systems. Each includes a worked problem, an exercise, a model answer and a scored rubric.

Study Mathematical, linguistic and systems foundations

Understand the ideas.
Work through the argument.

Begin with an everyday problem, follow its formal explanation, and test it with a small constructed fixture. Each chapter connects scholarly sources to the Atlas’s existing cases without changing what those cases establish. Historical dates identify actual publications; the learning sequence follows concepts and prerequisites.

Choose a starting point and check prerequisites

Start with interpreting a request, then study consequence and representation. Continue through languages, contracts, knowledge models and uncertainty before tackling distributed systems and governance. Arithmetic and careful reading are enough for the entry passages. Work through the deeper derivations when you can explain the preceding example in your own words.

Try this diagnostic: distinguish a document from its title; find an exception in a requirement; explain why verified does not imply approved; calculate two relevant results out of three returned; name evidence that would reject a completion claim. Use the search below to revisit the corresponding concept.

Every mathematical example is an original teaching construction unless explicitly identified otherwise. Bibliographic scope records distinguish inspected sections, abstracts, summaries and recommended further reading. No scholarly citation upgrades a project specification into a reproduced implementation.

The practice labs provide synthetic sources, student worksheets and separate answer keys. No account or model service is required. Attempt a worksheet before opening its instructor folder.

01 Instruction / progressively advanced practice

Learn the mechanisms.
Test what they establish.

Follow the modules in order. Each states prerequisites, learning objectives, a worked problem, an exercise, a model answer, a scored rubric and observable completion criteria. Diagrams explain mechanisms and boundaries rather than imply unverified implementations.

02 Worked cases / application and diagnosis

Apply the method.
Identify its limits.

Use the cases to inspect a design decision, diagnose a failure mode or compare alternative mechanisms. Each case connects a concrete problem to the relevant instructional modules.

03 Original diagrams / mechanisms and boundaries

Inspect how
the parts interact.

Each diagram models a bounded mechanism. Read its caption and assumptions; use the full-size view to inspect individual labels and connections.

04 Supporting sources / scope and limitations

Check the basis
of the instruction.

The course is an instructional synthesis. Its examples distinguish specifications, reports, artifacts and reproduced tests. A source supports only the claims that fall within its stated scope.
